The globe is composed of rings of tightly-packed white dots, larger at the center of the globe and shrinking towards its edges, with black spaces between them. 'RCC' is printed in large red letters across the globe, with the outer edges obscured by the globe's curvature. To the right, outside the 'equator' of the globe, is a small hooked red arrow. An upright hoop encircles the globe, light grey in front of the globe and orange behind. The hoop attaches to a vertical axis pole spearing the globe, with a square yellow base. To the right of the base stands a small black and white figure, appearing to walk right with one arm raised. Printed in blocky black letters at bottom center: 'HERBERT BAYER / Leuchtreklamekugel, sich um ihre Achse drehend, / mit elektrischen Birnen besetzt' (roughly translated as 'Neon sign ball, turning around its axis, studded with electric bulbs'). '1924' is pencilled to the right of 'BAYER'.
