Mantle (Peru)

This is a Mantle. It is dated 17th–18th century and we acquired it in 1902. Its medium is cotton warp, wool weft, silk and its technique is tapestry woven, interlocked warps and wefts. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by John Pierpont Morgan. It is credited Gift of John Pierpont Morgan.
