Box Lock Lock

This is a lock. It is dated ca. 1745 and we acquired it in 1909. Its medium is bronze, gold. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

Hardware such as furniture mounts and locks and keys were collected as examples of ornamental as well as functional embellishments of furniture.

This object was donated by Advisory Council. It is credited Purchased for the Museum by the Advisory Council.
