Base of the statue inscribed: "ELLE EST LA SOURCE/DE TOUS LES BIENS". Other inscriptions on the ornamentation read: "LIBERTE", "UNION", "VALEUR", "JUSTICE", "ENERGIE", "ABONDANCE", "PRUDENCE", "MUTIUS SCEVOLA", "JUNIUS BRUTUS", "FABRICIUS". Further inscriptions at top read (where decipherable): "Les peuple Francais", "Revolution Francaise", "Les peuple Francais".
