What is this?

a) A design of diagonal narrow red lines running in opposite directions. At points of intersection there is a row of blue spades and clubs alternating with red hearts and diamonds. On rough weave embossed field. Printed in selvedge: "Schumacher's Custom Hand Print, Trumps". b) Large scale bust of king and jack in gold, black and red on smooth ivory field. c) Border with blue band also red top and bottom with blue club and spade between red heart and diamond. A gold crown separates each group. On rough weave embossed field.

This is a border from United States. It is dated 1941 and we acquired it in 1942. Gift of Educational Art Service Company through Appolonia Cassidy.
