Bowl On Base

This is a Bowl on base. It was manufactured by Steuben Glass Works. It is dated 1943 and we acquired it in 1960. Its medium is glass. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Gift of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wiesenberger.

A transparent blue blown glass vase of slightly everted form, with a wide lip and small disc base. The surface is decorated with small black enamel-painted stylized figures, who appear to dance in rhythmic poses, and with small floral bluebell-like sprays. The deep blue tinge of the glass is most apparent at the base and around the rim of the lip.
