Hinggi Kombu (men's Ceremonial Wrapper) (Indonesia)

This is a Hinggi kombu (men's ceremonial wrapper). It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1960. Its medium is cotton and its technique is tied resist patterning in warp (ikat) on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.
