This border is medium: linen technique: needle lace (punto in aria). Its dimensions are: H x W: 6.5 x 41 cm (2 9/16 x 16 1/8 in.).

This border is from Italy and dated late 16th–early 17th century.

Bequest of Richard Cranch Greenleaf in memory of his mother, Adeline Emma Greenleaf. Its provenance is ex-collection: Mary Schenck (aunt of Richard C. Greenleaf) (Unknown) We acquired this object in 1962.
