Textile

This is a Textile. It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is silk and its technique is cut loops of supplementary warp pile (velvet) in a plain weave foundation; tied-resist dyeing in the warp (ikat). It is a part of the Textiles department.
