What is this?

Square sampler in two sections. The upper register has bands of small scale geometric and floral patterns and spot motifs. The lower register has a deer, a bird on a flowering branch, and a girl in a pinafore with a wreath.

This is a sampler. It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1971. Bequest of Marian Hague.
