Sampler (England)

This is a Sampler. It was embroidered by Charlotte Payne Lloyd. It is dated 1819 and we acquired it in 1976. Its medium is silk on wool and its technique is cross, satin, stem and chain stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Unknown. It is credited Gift of Anonymous Donor from the Fraser/Martin Collection.
