Sidewall, 1850–70
This object is resting in our storage facility.
We acquired this object in 1976
Medallion stripe design. Red and white medallions, alternating with smaller white motifs, repeating vertically. Vertical bands containing ornaments with red quatrefoils run between these vertical repeats. Printed in red and white on gray ground.
This sidewall is machine-printed. Its dimensions are: 77 x 49.5 cm (30 5/16 x 19 1/2 in.).
It is inscribed Printed in right selvedge: "957" and "2 Rolls."

Gift of Mrs. William B. Eldredge. Its provenance is 1 of 10 samples of wallpaper from "Oakhill", 410 N. Eagle Street, Marshall, Michigan. (Gift) We acquired this object in 1976.
