This silk velvet textile fragment is roughly square, with slightly frayed edges. The velvet is dark forest green, with a negative space design created by the bright, hot pink ground. The design is dotted S-curves flanked by leafy frills, arranged in alternating diagonals. The upper row S-curves lean to the left; the lower row mirror-image S-curves lean to the right. The rows are aligned such that the bottom curl in the upper row and the top curl in the lower row are parallel. The pattern repeats below.
