Pot à fard (Toilet Jar) Pommade Pot And Lid

This is a Pommade pot and lid. It was made by Saint-Cloud Porcelain Manufactory. It is dated 18th century and we acquired it in 1977. Its medium is soft-paste porcelain, with blue underglaze. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Mrs. John Jay Ide. It is credited The John Jay Ide Collection.

It has the following markings

Two lables adhered to pot bottom: 1) "Musee des Arts Decoratifs" and 2) "Collection A. Chevet".
