Pleated Fan

This is a Pleated fan. It is dated mid- 18th century and we acquired it in 1943. Its medium is paper leaf gilded and painted with gouache, pierced, carved, and gilded ivory sticks, mother-of-pearl guards, pin set with a brilliant. It is a part of the Textiles department.
