Vase (USA)

This is a vase. It was decorated by Cynthia Pugh Littlejohn and made by Newcomb Pottery and potter: Joseph Fortune Meyer and manufactured by Sadie Agnes Estelle Irvine. It is dated 1906–15 and we acquired it in 1984. Its medium is glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by William Goodman and Marcia Goodman. It is credited Gift of Marcia and William Goodman.

H x Diam: 35.9 x 22.6 cm (14 1/8 x 8 7/8 in.)

It has the following markings

Impressed and reinforced in blue: potter's monogram "JM", conjoined / "C" in a circle / "143" [shape #] / "M"; incised and reinforced in blue: decorator's monogram "CL", conjoined /"1 13"; painted in blue: "HB25"
