Pleated Fan (France)

This is a Pleated fan. It was made by Duvelleroy. It is dated ca. 1901 and we acquired it in 1987. Its medium is silk net leaf with applied cotton needle and bobbin lace and steel spangles; tortoise shell sticks embedded with steel spangles, tortoise slips, glass stone at rivet. It is a part of the Textiles department.

It is credited Gift of Dorothy Warren.

Duvelleroy on the back of one of the slips.
