"Angle" Covered Vegetable Dish
This is a Covered vegetable dish. It was designed by Jean-Pierre Caillères and produced by S. N. Faienceries de Gien. It is dated 1988 and we acquired it in 1989. Its medium is earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
![Lightly stained design on off-white wove paper for a lidded, faience glazed ceramic vegetable serving dish with three perspectives. The drawing is in pencil; mostly graphite with accents of light blue. On top is a downward half-circle from the overhead view of the circular lid with a simple floral decoration in the center and large scalloped edges with curled handles. In the center of the drawing is a detail of the handle on the left, with the title text [GRAND LÉGUMIER] on the right in stylized lettering. At the bottom of the page is the side view of the tableware dish, with a rising lid, scalloped sides, and roped base with a platform underneath. A decorative purple stamp on the bottom left corner is paired with the number [4026] on the right corner.
