This is a Hanging. It was designed by Lois Bryant and made by Lois Bryant and Gretchen Eisenmenger. It is dated 1990 and we acquired it in 1990. Its medium is cotton, metallic and its technique is two interconnected structures (lampas). It is a part of the Textiles department.

A tan, vertically-rectangular textile with a pattern of differently-sized and differently-colored small rectangles. The rectangles repeat in hues of orange, red, purple, and blue. The different widths of the rectangles repeat in groups of three in rows across the textile, with three identical smaller-width rectangles positioned next to three larger-width rectangles, and so on - this repeats across the whole of the textile on top of the overall tan color of the background.
