This is a Fragment. It was produced by Oberkampf & Cie. and made by Oberkampf & Cie.. It is dated 1783–89 and we acquired it in 1996. Its technique is printed by engraved plate on plain weave; marks are block printed. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Elinor Merrell. It is credited Bequest of Elinor Merrell.

Its dimensions are

Warp x Weft: 7 x 71 cm (2 3/4 x 27 15/16 in.)

It is inscribed

" MANUFACTUR ROYALE DE S DM OBERKAMPF A JOUY PRES VERSAILLES BON TEINT" in oval frame. "D116" in black, "14", the last two numerals of a longer number "56" and "3(6)2 in dark grey. "C.R." is printed twice in red.
