What is this?

Tall irregular triangular body of fused squares of transparent blue, green, red and clear glass.

This is a vase from Italy. It is dated 1950–51 and we acquired it in 1998. Museum purchase from General Acquisitions Endowment in honor of Piera Maria Watkins.
