What is this?

Tall irregular triangular body of fused squares of transparent blue, green, red and clear glass.

This is a vase from Italy. It is dated 1950–51 and we acquired it in 1998. Museum purchase from General Acquisitions Endowment in honor of Piera Maria Watkins. This object is currently resting in our storage facility ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
