What is this?

Small case for six implements, stamped leather with scrolled decoration in gold. Case consists of two parts, body and lid, held together with a cord.

This is a traveling set and case from Italy. It is dated early 17th century and we acquired it in 1985. The Robert L. Metzenberg Collection, gift of Eleanor L. Metzenberg.
