Palisander Large Serving Fork, ca. 1967

This is a Large serving fork. It is dated ca. 1967 and we acquired it in 1991. Its medium is 18/8 stainless steel, rosewood. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

Wallance selected rosewood for the handles of his Palisander series, out of a desire to balance the perceptible coldness of steel. The design sold very well, despite the special care required for the flatware, which was not dishwasher-safe.

It is credited Gift of David and Gregory Wallance.

Its dimensions are

L x W: 24.8 × 5.1 cm (9 3/4 in. × 2 in.)
