No. 98 White Wine Decanter With Stopper

This is a White wine decanter with stopper. It was designed by Ludwig Lobmeyr and manufactured by J. & L. Lobmeyr GmbH.

This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It has been able to spend time at the museum on loan from J. & L. Lobmeyr GmbH.

It is dated 1865 and we acquired it in 2009. Its medium is mouth-blown crystal, faceted cut and polished. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Museum purchase through gift of Dale and Doug Anderson, Anonymous Donor, Arthur Liu, and Prairie Pictures, Inc. and from General Acquisitions Endowment Fund.
