Vase (Finland)

This is a vase. It was designed by Kaarina Aho and manufactured by Arabia. It is dated 1964–71 and we acquired it in 2011. Its medium is molded, glazed, hand-painted earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Mathew Weaver. It is credited Gift of Mathew Weaver in honor of his mother, Lenora J. Nelson Weaver.

H x diam.: 14.6 x 8.3 cm (5 3/4 x 3 1/4 in.)

It has the following markings

On underside: stamped in green: ARABIA/MADE IN/FINLAND (mark for Finnish and export market, 1964-71).
