Tile (USA)

This is a tile. It was manufactured by J. & J. G. Low Art Tile Works. It is dated 1877–83 and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is molded glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Mrs. Florence Barnes. It is credited Gift of Florence Barnes.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D: 11 x 11 x 1.8 cm (4 5/16 x 4 5/16 x 11/16 in.)

It has the following markings

On reverse, impression: partially obliterated by dark adhesive material and gouging in clay.
