Uniform Shirt, The Pont Neuf Wrapped
This is a Uniform shirt. It was designed by Willi Smith and made for WilliWear Productions.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Mark Bozek as part of Willi Smith: Street Couture.
Workwear and uniform dress inspired Smith throughout his career, appearing in his early collections for Digits Sportswear, his costumes for performances, and Smith's sketchbook references of industrial aprons and ranch wear from the American West.
