Allegorical Figure of "Africa" Figure

This is a figure. It was attributed to Johann Joachim Kändler and produced by Meissen Porcelain Factory and manufactured by Meissen Porcelain Manufactory and modeled by Peter Reinicke and after Gottfried Bernhard Götz. It is dated ca. 1760 and we acquired it in 1960. Its medium is hard paste porcelain, vitreous enamel, gold. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Estate of James Hazen Hyde. It is credited Gift of the Estate of James Hazen Hyde.

H x W x D: 30.3 x 23.3 x 15.2 cm (11 15/16 in. x 9 3/16 in. x 6 in.)
