Furniture firm working in Modern Gothic. Founded by Anthony Kimbel and Joseph Cabus in New York City. Kimbel (d.1895) came from Mainz, Germany, and arrived in US in 1940s. Began working for New York furniture firms, and in 1862 entered firm of Joseph Cabus. First recorded together 1863.
