Pittacus of Mytilene Portrait Medallion, 1767–1780

This is a Portrait medallion. It was manufactured by Wedgwood. It is dated 1767–1780 and we acquired it in 1913. Its medium is unglazed stoneware ("black basalt"). It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
