Border (Italy), mid-16th century

This is a Border. It is dated mid-16th century and we acquired it in 1931. Its medium is linen and its technique is grid of withdrawn element work with needle lace, reticella style and edge of bobbin lace, continuous braid-like. It is a part of the Textiles department.
