Embroidery Sample (France)

This is a Embroidery sample. It is dated late 18th–early 19th century and we acquired it in 1932. Its medium is silk, metallic thread, metal wire, sequins, paper and its technique is embroidered on voided and uncut supplementary warp pile (velvet). It is a part of the Textiles department.

It is credited Museum purchase from Au Panier Fleuri Fund.
