Fragment (Belgium)
This is a Fragment. It is dated 1650–1700 and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is linen and its technique is bobbin lace of discontinuous tape; six bobbins used for connecting bars. It is a part of the Textiles department.
The flowers and leaves of the band are decorated with small patterns influenced by needle-made motif fillings.
					
		
									It is credited Bequest of Richard Cranch Greenleaf in memory of his mother, Adeline Emma Greenleaf.
