Embroidery

Its medium is silk and cotton and its technique is plain weave (with over-spun yarns to give crepe effect) foundation with embroidery using silk, double running; using metal-wrapped silk, satin; using cotton, overcasting and herringbone stitch in deflected element work. It is a part of the Textiles department.

a. Warp: 37.5 (14 3/4in.). Weft: 42cm (16 1/2in.). b. Warp: 34.5cm (13 1/2in.). Weft:45.5cm (18in.). c. Warp: 36cm (14 1/4in). Weft: 43.5cm (17 1/4in.). all pieces have both selvedges present.
