Poster, El agua en malas condiciones produce mas bajas que la metralla (Poisoned water causes more casualties than the bullets)
This is a Poster. It was designed by José Bardasano and made for (as the client) Army Health Service. It is dated 1937 and we acquired it in 1997. Its medium is lithograph on paper. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.
Throughout the Spanish Civil War (d. 1936-1939), the Jefatura de Sanidad del Ejercito, a public health organization in Spain, focused on educating various levels of disease prevention to the masses. In specific, the message warns that poisoned water causes more casualties than bullets during war. This poster is one of many that promoted the importance of health on behalf of the Republican cause of Spain.
