Garlic (Knoblauch) Pendant Necklace
This is a Pendant Necklace. It was designed by David Bielander. It is dated 2009 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is folded sheet silver. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
Bielander often takes inspiration from immediately recognizable objects, in this case a simple garlic bulb. Made of folded silver sheets, Bielander’s masterfully crafted pendant inspires us see this pungent plant in a new guise.
