Poster, Post Past, 250th Anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum

This is a Poster. It was designed by Homa Delvaray. It is dated 2013. Its medium is digital print.

Delvaray deftly combines typography and illustration. In this poster announcing an exhibition at the State Hermitage Museum, mermaids, putti, and other creatures frolic among the staid serif letters of the headline. Thin, green vines and mocha-colored vegetation provide a lively counterpoint to the black typography that forms the poster’s infrastructure.

It is credited Courtesy of the designer.
