Wearable Sculpture, from ANIMAL: The Other Side of Evolution series, 2012
Rajcevic explores the uneasy border between humans and other creatures in her ANIMAL series (2012). Constructed from metal, polymers, and leather, these alarming headpieces challenge conventions of fashion and personal adornment. This piece flares out around the face, suggesting a show of power and prowess. It is designed both to be displayed as sculpture and to be worn on the body.
