Sugar Bowl Sugar Bowl

This is a sugar bowl. It was made by R. & W. Wilson, Philadelphia. It is dated 1825–1846 and we acquired it in 1953. Its medium is silver. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Louise B. Scott. It is credited Gift of Louise B. Scott.

H x W x D: 24.5 x 21.2 x 13.3cm (9 5/8 x 8 3/8 x 5 1/4in.)

On the underside of bowl: [1] “R.&W. WILSON / PHILADA”, impressed (maker’s mark)

It is inscribed

Inscribed on the body: [1] "Gussie from Father and Mother.", incised [2] "AJS", incised (monogram)
