Dark-green wooden rocking chair, with tall arched back and arms formed from slender bent wooden branches. The arm branches are attached at the sides of the carved seat. The back branches wrap over the arm branches. On the back, three vertical ribs radiating up from seat. Four cylindrical legs sit on rockers, with two stretchers between the legs on each side.

A wooden rocking chair. Its arms and bottom are dark wood that looks untreated. On its sides, connecting the arms to the bottom, are curvy figure 8 shapes formed from this dark wood. The seat and back are lighter wood planks, each one thin and rectangular. Behind the back is a large circle, formed out of the worn, darker wood.

A folio depicting a vertical rectangular textile from a man's garment. The textile is golden yellow with varying bands of pattern in different sections. Along the right hand side and in the lower section is a three-tiered floral border, consisting of blue, pink and white flowers intertwined with green leaves and black vines. In the mid sections there is a repeating motif of large bluebell type flowers in white, blue, deep pink and pale pink, each with long green leaves, which is mirrored by a smaller version of the same pattern above. In the upper section there is a repeating diamond pattern in burgundy and gold, with a white geometric border beneath, another burgundy border with gold flames beneath that, and a white floral border beneath that. Underneath the textile black text in capital letters reads [MAN'S GARMENT / BOORHANPORE], and gives measurement details.

A folio depicting a vertical rectangular textile from a man's garment. The textile is dark green with bands of golden yellow pattern of varying thickness. In the upper section is a repeating horizontal diamond motif, which is bordered on the right hand side and on its lower section with a thin band of dense floral pattern with tassels. Inside the upper section in the lower right corner is a large teardrop shape which is decorated with flowers. In the mid to lower section is a broad dense floral pattern with a repeating bunch of chrysanthemum like flowers set against smaller flowers. The lower section has three horizontal stripes, with the middle stripe a lighter gold color than the other two. Underneath the textile capitalized black text reads [MAN'S GARMENT / BENARES], and gives measurement details.

A red square shawl with a symmetrical design radiating toward each corner from a central black field. Four waterdrop shapes extend diagonally out from center with an intricate red patterned border lined with purple. The drops are filled with two curled plants like fiddlehead ferns, curled inward forming a heart-like shape and topped with a floral bouquet. The central black field is a diamond with inwardly curved sides with a gold leaf at each point. A bright pale-yellow border surrounds the black field forming a stylized cross. The water drops are replicated in pairs in smaller form on all four sides. The drops rounded edge faces the center and the pair is angled outward forming a V. They are also bordered by a bright pale yellow which stands out brilliantly against the primarily red design. Swirling patterns in shades of red, yellow, violet, and green, with minute floral elements are used as pattern filler. Exterior border of teardrop shapes surrounded by multicolored squares; red, blue, black, white, pink, yellow, green.

Square woven shawl with a red ground and multicolored kaleidoscope design in pink, orange, green, blue, purple, and white. A taupe eight-pointed star in the center is surrounded by snake-like forms. From each corner, a yellow pinecone form set on an elaborate vase points toward the center; between these is a smaller, purple cone. Curled multi-colored feathers are between the yellow and purple cones. An inner guard border has a repeating design of alternating flowers, surrounded by a thin green floral border. The outer “harlequin” border is made of bands of alternating color and is slightly frayed at the edges. The bright, mostly undecorated bands create a stark contrast to the central pattern. Bands at top and bottom are vertical while the bands at sides are horizonal. All pattern areas are filled with tiny plants and flowers.

Square woven shawl with a red ground and a dense arrangement of elongated paisley and floral motifs in red, yellow, green, white, and blue. Elongated paisley shapes form two-pronged forks surrounding a central eight-pointed star. Center is a field of undecorated red. Thin paisley forms in mirrored pairs with outwardly curled tops fill the spaces in-between the prongs. Rounded L shapes mirror the corners of the shawl. A scalloped garland-like border encompasses the central motif. Exterior border is formed by a floral pattern that appears like a string of beads. Border of multicolored bands with coordinated fringe at top and bottom.

Shawl with frayed top and bottom. At the center is a red square with small wavy, yellow-lined border. Surrounding the square is a thick, brown/dark-green pattern. The pattern consists of two teardrop shapes facing each other, with a smaller, circlular shape at their meeting point. This pattern repeating about seven times per each side of the square. In between each pattern is a flower-like shape, with lots of small petals blooming in the opposite direction of the meeting point of the two teardrops.

A square shawl. At the center is a small, black circle with eight lines coming off of it with yellow at the tips of each line. Wavy lines ebb and flow away from the circle, with brown, light blue and yellow color. The square is bordered with diamond shapes. The ends of the square are frayed in a multi-colored pattern, with each individual fray a different color. Colors include red, forest green, white, black, and orange.

Square, dark brown shawl. At the center is a black shape, circular with eight prongs coming off of it, resembling a tree trunk. Outside of the black shape are four white, wishbone-like shapes facing inward, positioned at North, South, East and West points in the shawl. In between each one are white, diamond-like shapes of various sizes. The border of the shawl features small rectangles, alternating between brown and dark green.

Long rectangular shawl is covered in muticolored paisley patterns within illusionistic shapes that flow from top to bottom. The black central medallion is the focus of the shawl, as each shape and pattern surrounds it until reaching an inner border, also covered in a multicolored paisley pattern. A short fringe or frayed edge remains at the top and bottom of the shawl.

Rectangular drawing with various sheets attached to each other. Across the sheets is a large tree branch, extending from the bottom right of the drawing, through the middle, then back up to the upper-right of the drawing. Growing off the tree -- both at the base and throughout -- are flowers. The right side of the drawing is lined with flowers, too. The center backdrop of the drawing is solid white, with the upper and lower sections are pink-ish purple.

Two different, paralel designs for woven shawls, one on the left side, the other on the right, delicately drawn and painted in guache using small dots resembling stippling on a base of brown, mottled paper. The left design is multi-colored with a delicate patterns of vines, flowers and tear drop shapes in jewel tones of gold, ruby emerald and sapphire, swirling and independant of each other. On the right is an all-yellow stippled design of arabesque scrolls, leaves and vines with fanciful scrolled-leaf flowers in an overall abstract pattern. The oiled paper shows signs of wear and creasing, and is mounted to white paper.

A study for a paisley motif painted in gouche on a tall, narrow strip of paper with a mustard-colored background, which has a central crease and some signs of wear and small tears on the edges. The dominant paisley motif is slightly off-center and is a gold colored spear-shaped leaf containing a climbing vine of full, pink climbing roses and rose buds on a throny stem with small green leaves. The outer edge of the leaf is a zig-zag of green and red outlines, with an attached bordering vine of open, blue morning glories and leaves on the left connected to a central stem at the bottom. The stem has bunches of small purple flowers and a slamon colored carnation tied to it with a raspberry colored bow near the base. A thorny climbing vine with orange roses and a pink daisy are in the upper left corner of the design, below a double beaded border in maroon with white and gray accents, inside of which are alternating patterns of mauve daisies and salmon colored roses.

A fantastic, stylized floral arrangement painted on a yellow-brown oiled paper background. The colors of the gouache, an opaque watercolor, are rich and matte: burgundy, coral red, olive green, lemony yellow, slate blue, purple, and white. The fronds of paisley-like floral patterns seem to rise or cascade from a sculptural base, like an urn or vase. At upper left are two fronds, curving up out of the vase to the right, and a plumed feather-like arabesque shape; at lower right a frond and cluster of flowers droop over the edge of the vase. At lower left a frond curves up, rooted in a small bouquet at the bottom of the vase. The curving lines of the repeating floral patterns are similar, with inner rows of different white flowers and dark green leaves of many varieties: short and parsley-like, heart-shaped, long and scalloped, long and pointed, long and jagged. The background of the flowers is yellow, with a dark pink leafy fringe opposite. The clusters of accent flowers are burgundy, lilac, yellow, and white. The edge of the vase is ornamented with hanging scalloped banners in blue, burgundy, and yellow. The page’s surface has some creases and cracks throughout with torn edges.

An abstract paisley form in a tear shape, painted in gauche on a rectangular piece of brown, oiled paper with some creases, abrasions and small tears. The outer curve has small clusters of mauve, blue, purple, yellow and white daisy-like flowers at the top, which join a curved segment of yellow, square-petaled flowers with green leaves and a red stem in jagged blue flower pots with white edges which connect to a base in the shape of a purple vase on a scalloped bottom, filled with a profusion of mauve and white petalled flowers with yellow centers. A curved, saw-toothed edged fluorish in mustard yellow curves within the outer edge, extending upwards to the small flowers at the top of the outer edge. The inner vine has flowers with sqaure and round petals in purple and mauve with white centers surmounted by a spray of dangling bell-shaped flowers in triple tiers of white, mauve and black. Outside vines of bulbous mauve flowers and a vine of alternating purple and blue flowers with form form a loose outer wall completing the tear drop shape.

Photo of two identical endpapers for the front and back inside of a book. The endpapers as a whole are filled with designs. The top of each endpaper has a thin band of light orange with small designs on it. Below that top band are two different paisleys placed side-by-side in light orange, white and black on a background of pale blue. Below the paisleys is a another thin band.This one is in white with a different design than on the top band. The endpapers have been embellished with small, very delicate and variously size dots, leaves and flowers, all in black.There is also a pale wine color, which has been used sparingly to highlight some of the designs throughout the two pages.

This length of wallpaper is printed with a tumbling paisley and floral pattern in denim blues, coral red, salmon pink, white, and black. The plump, teardrop-shaped paisleys are filled with crisp floral and geometric patterns and arranged in various orientations on a similarly-patterned swirling background. The lines of the pattern create a sense of movement. The selvedge reads 'UP', 'Trim', and 'Join' in black letters.

This length of wallpaper is filled with overlapping paisleys, densely patterned with intricate floral and geometric designs in almost-fluorescent shades of yellow, orange, pink, red, and green. The small amount of background is black. The teardrop-shaped paisleys are arranged in a group of three. A large paisley and a medium paisley are butted together diagonally, curled ends pointing up and away from each other. A small paisley, curled end pointing down and right, is tucked beneath the bottom of the large paisley. This motif alternates left and right down the length of wallpaper. Various instructions are printed in red letters in the selvedges: 'TOP' within an arrow, 'TRIM', and 'JOIN'.

This is a colorful textile design featuring a paisley pattern in yellow, orange, purple, cobalt blue, lime green, white, black, and grey gouache on coral pink paper. The teardrop-shaped paisleys are different sizes and colors, and are evenly scattered across the page in different orientations. The paisleys are patterned with squiggly lines inside long pointed shapes, giving them spiky edges. Grey diagonal lines emerge from the paisley motifs, and grey small squares or cubes, with small diagonal lines radiating from them, are scattered between the paisleys. The design shows various process marks. A strip along the left edge is taped to the main sheet. Near the upper left corner, an area of the background is squiggle-patterned white. The upper right corner is cut away in a curve, hugging the nearby paisley. Near the bottom left corner there is a white bean-shape, as if a paisley has been cut out or painted over. Various white labels, inscriptions, and a black stamp annotate the drawing.

Vertically rectangular shawl. The center features a light green square, with a pair of shapes -- each resembling a fly's wings -- facing each other. Dense, wavy lines border these shapes within the green square. Outside of the square, the remainder of the shawl is mostly dark brown and dark green. The shawl is divided into three horizontal rectangles, with the green square placed in the center of the middle rectangle. Each rectangle is filled with wavy, light brown lines, overlapping to form ribbon-like patterns. The shawl is bordered in a dark green floral pattern.
