We acquired this object in 2005
Black outline of an organic, bulbous form connected to a wide footed, trunk-like base. Three ornamental bud-shapes appear at top center. The form is bisected by a thin black horizontal line to suggest the lid line. The interior of the form is colored in a reddish-brown or sienna colored wash. The tracing paper overlay indicates the arrangement of the stereo apparatus inside.
This drawing is pen and black ink; black marker; brush and red-brown wash; graphite on white strathmore illustration board with tracing paper overlay, annotated in graphite. with the following markings: Verso of illustration board shows portion of Manufacturer's printed logo
. Its dimensions are: Overall: 24 x 21.6 cm (9 7/16 x 8 1/2 in.)
paper: 30.5 x 21.6 cm (12 x 8 1/2 in.).
It is signed Lower right corner of illustration board in graphite: WC 73
and inscribed On recto of tracing paper in graphite: outline of stereo cabinet is delineated with rectangular sections for amp, storage and changer indicated. Each section noted in script. At left, linear dimension indicated with 30"; at right, linear dimension indicated with 38"; across sheet below image linear dimension indicated with 38".
