Poster, Three Questions On Death

This is a Poster. It was designed by Sulki & Min, Min Choi and Sulki Choi and made for (as the client) Gwangju National University of Education. It is dated 2014 and we acquired it in 2014. Its medium is offset lithograph on paper. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

For their poster publicizing the dancer Eunme Ahn’s performance, Three Questions on Death, Sulki & Min executed text in a style that recalls stenciled letters, their nod to the impermanent nature of the performance held before the opening of the Asian Arts Theatre, Asian Culture Complex in Gwangju. Cloud-like bubbles, culled from poster designs advertising earlier events, are layered beneath the text, recalling traces of past performances.
