Inscribed in graphite, at upper left: palma Camaca / Dead leaves; again, at upper right: May; again, center right: Reddish orange sandy bank / perpendicular broken with clefts and / magnificently rich with vines, grass plants / etc. Long vine stems trail down perpendic / ularly; and across bottom margin: Many of the trees present an exquisite effect where the / light yellowish and yellowish green leaves cap the small / masses of dark foliage / Some resemble the Hemlock / in Spring
